Offsetdruckerei Schwarzach acquires Swiss Läser AG

The Vorarlberg packaging specialists have acquired Läser AG, based in Gontenschwil, Switzerland, in the canton of Aargau, as part of a succession plan. Läser AG is a leading Swiss provider of labels and cardboard packaging, employing around 100 people.

"The size, focus, and philosophy of Läser AG fit perfectly with us. That's why the acquisition was a unique opportunity we wanted to seize," summarizes Offsetdruckerei Schwarzach CEO Ralph Joser. The Vorarlberg company also provided an ideal succession solution for the traditional printing company in Gontenschwil, founded in 1952, according to owner Jürg Läser, and the approximately 100 jobs at the location are secured for the long term.

In the market, the two quality-oriented packaging specialists will continue to operate independently. Synergies arise from the expanded production spectrum. "The product portfolios complement each other optimally with some specialties, and with this step, we aim to further expand our market position. For our clients, the change brings increased delivery security, as production reserves from the partner location can be used in the event of a disruption," describes Managing Director Johannes Knapp, outlining future plans.
