Winner of the Fair-Inno-Pack Competition 2023

To promote and advance innovative ideas for sustainable packaging, Emmi, together with 38 selected suppliers, organized the Fair-Inno-Pack competition. The goal was to generate new and creative packaging ideas that align with Emmi's ambitious sustainability objectives. 

A jury consisting of members from marketing, purchasing, and R&D evaluated about 80 submitted concepts, of which 32 advanced to a second round. Ultimately, seven suppliers succeeded with a total of eight different concepts.

Sustainability is proactively advanced at Offsetdruckerei Schwarzach, so we are committed to supporting Emmi with our recyclable packaging solutions on their journey towards sustainability goals. Thanks to our creative packaging development, we were able to design an innovative solution that could enable Emmi to reduce packaging weight by 50.4%.

The consumer benefit is enhanced through the new packaging concept, which offers excellent carrying options with a handle, securely holds the bottles, improves the visibility of refrigerator stock, and facilitates easy waste separation to promote a circular economy.

Our winning concept was presented on June 20, 2023, during an internal awards ceremony at Emmi's headquarters in Lucerne by Mario Fuchs and Thomas Peter and was honored by the management of Emmi Switzerland.
